CENTRAL TROOPS INVOLVE IN DISASTER RESPONSE TASKS IN HAPUTHALE

Another team of disaster response troops belongs to Security Force Headquarters Central rushed to the disaster scene near the Haputale Railway Station in the morning of 19 December 2023, to clear the soil mounds and rocks that were blocking the train movements from Colombo to Badulla. The enduring operation of army members was backed by the members of Railway Department.

Army troops successfully assured the normalcy on traffic and train movements at the both locations.
