In response to the island-wide strike by trade unions in the health sector, Security Force Headquarters (Central) deployed troops to government hospitals located in the area of responsibility, on 1 February 2024.
Under command troops from divisions, brigades and battalions swiftly responded the request of the general public in order to ensure the uninterrupted provision of essential medical services.
