Located in a disaster prone area, troops under Security Force (Central) constantly make fullest effort to control wildfires and domestic fires in central highlands. Since, on the guidance of Commander Security Force (Central), Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, security force headquarters organized a seasonable lecture and awareness program to refresh the knowledge of troops on firefighting and controlling, on 04 August 2023 at the lecture hall.
Firefighting techniques, theories and controlling measures were lectured by the visiting instructors from Sri Lanka Air Force base in Diyatalawa. Officers and troops of the security force headquarters and affiliated battalions participated in the program.
