As the guardians of the nation, Sri Lanka Army is playing a vital role to control the current endemic situation in the Island. Consequently, 04 quarantine centers are being operated within the 11 Division ( Kandy and Badulla) which is located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central). These centers were arranged under the instructions of the Commander of the Army and the supervision of the Commander, Security Forces (Central).
Further, the newly built Army Hospital in Pallekele as well as the quarantine centers were visited the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP along with General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Brigade Commanders of 112 and 111 Brigades as well as the Commanding Officers of the under command units on 17 April 2020.
