CRICKET TOURNAMENT AT SFHQ (CEN)

As per the concept of the SF Commander Major General MKS Silva RWP RSP ndu a Cricket Tournament was held representing all the under command battalions of SF Central on 11, 12 Dec 2021 at Muthukumaru Grounds.

Cricket teams from SFHQ (Central), 7 SLSC, 8 MIC, 7 SLCMP, 17 ESR, 8 SLASC and 2 (V) SLEME participated in this tournament as contestants and teams of 7 SLSC and SFHQ (Cen) selected for the final tournament. A competitive tournament was held between two teams and 7 SLSC group won the competition by obtaining 120 marks with four wickets. Corporal Rajapakshe RC of SFHQ (Cen) was awarded as the best competitor in the tournament. By culminating the event, medals and certificates were awarded for the winners by the SF Commander. Brigadier General Staff of SFHQ (Cen), Brigadier KAWS Rathnayake ndu, Senior Officers, Officers, Commanding Officers and Other Ranks participated in this occasion.
