DISASTER AFFECTED PEOPLE RECEIVE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FROM ARMY AT KELIPANAWELA

A number of 250 disaster affected people residing in Koslanda – Kelipanawala area were shifted from the risk area to safe shelters on 11 December 2023, with the support of Army and government authorities.

As the aggrieved community undergoes physical and mental hardships, they were considered with the urge of medical assistance. Thus, troops of Security Force Headquarters (Central) made arrangements to organize a medical clinic for the deserving people in safe shelter camps in Koslanda on 13 December 2023. Doctors and medical staff at Army Base Hospital – Diyatalawa provided basic medical treatments and pharmaceuticals for more than 125 people including children.
