The farm which is maintained at ‘Laksenpaya’, the Army Commander’s Bungalow which is located in 11 Division of Security Forces (Central) has won the first place at the ‘Nagarayata Uyanwathu’ competition. This competition was conducted by the Department of Agriculture, Central Provincial Council.
Further, 11 Division of Security Forces (Central) was selected as the best camp with a fruitful garden in the Central province at the ‘Nagarayata Uyanwathu’ competition in 2017. Therefore, a live programme called ‘Aswenna’ (The Harvest) which is based on Agrarian Services was conducted by the Kandurata Sevaya Radio channel at the 11 Division Headquarters Premises on 29 June 2018 as a conversational Programme. Further, the contribution of the military personnel to the environment was appreciated by the officials of the Radio Channel.
