The foundation stone for the new shrine at Viru Kekulu Preschool, Diyatalawa was laid by Mrs Chandrika Senanayake , the President Seva Vanitha Unit, Sri Lanka Army on 14 September 2017. Amidst the sermons recited by the Buddhist monks at Ellegama Temple, the foundation stone was placed.
The Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias USP ndu psc IG, other senior officers of Security Force Headquarters, Mrs.Reka Senadheera, Senior Member in Charge - Pre -School Project, Mrs Thanuja Dias, Senior Member in Charge of Viru Kekulu Pre - School, Diyatalawa also participated in this occasion.
