The companionship between Sri Lanka and Thailand is continuing from the ancient times and to make stronger this bond 47 Buddhist monks and 05 nuns from Thailand visited Sri Lanka from 02 April to 04 April 2018.
Accordingly, on 02 April 2018 these Buddhist monks and nuns traveled on foot from Katugasthota to Mahameuna Meditation Monastery in Kundasale and from there to the Temple of Tooth in Kandy on 03 April 2018. Further, these venerable theroes were accompanied in a procession from Thennekumbura Junction to Mahameuna Meditation Monastery in Kundasale.
Moreover, they were offered " Gilanpara " at Sri Sudarmarama Viharaya on 04 April 2018 with the participation of Major General A W M A W N Ranawana RWP RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division.
