On the concept of Maj Gen M K S Silva RWP RSP ndu, an Inter Battalion Volleyball Tournament was held at Muthukumaru Grounds on 08 Dec 2021.
The teams from SFHQ (Cen), 7 SLSC, 8 MIC, 7 SLCMP, 17 ESR, 8 SLASC, 2 (V) SLEME, 4 SLAOC participated in this tournament and 7 SLSC and 7 SLAMP selected for the final tournament. The final competition was held on 26 January 2022 and both the teams gave their best to the competition. 7 SLSC emerged as the champion in the tournament while 7 SLCMP secured the Runners-up. The best passer award of the tournament was won by S/281208 Sergeant Sampath DPA RSP and the best dasher award was won by S/282335 Corporal bandara PS.
The SF Commander extended best wishes to the players and gave away trophies to the winners at the conclusion of the match.
