MAJOR GENERAL MOHAN RATHNAYAKE ASSUMES DUTIES AS COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (CENTRAL)

Major General WRMM Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndu, more popularly known as Major Genral Mohan Rathnayake, assumed duties as Commander Security Force (Central) on 17 November 2022.

The Gajaba Regiment parade platoon accorded a guard of honour to the newly appointed Security Force Commander on his arrival. Religious observances, planting of a tree sapling, troops address and all ranks tea party were followed by assuming the office according to military customs. During the troops address the new Commander emphasized the reputation of discipline and responsibilities of military personnel those lead to achieve the common goal of the proud organization.

Major General Mohan Rathnayake is a proud product of Isipathana College, Colombo and he has represented the National Ruby Team since the beginning of his military career. The Senior Officer has held many Command and Staff appointments in the organization and has made tremendous contribution during the humanitarian operations to safeguard the nation. He has completed 33 years of unblemished service and has achieved many milestones in his military career.

General Officers Commanding, Senior Staff Officers, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and Troops under Security Force (Central) witnessed the official occasion.
