MAJOR GENERAL TCMGST COORAY RWP RSP USP ndc psc ASSUMES DUTIES AS THE GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF THE 11 INFANTRY DIVISION

Major General T C M G S T Cooray RWP RSP USP ndc psc (Commando Regiment) assumed office as the new General Officer Commanding 11 Infantry Division on 24 June 2025 amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the 11 Infantry Division Headquarters in Pa1lekele.

Upon arrival, the senior officer was accorded a Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Honour by the troops of the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. Afterwards, the newly-appointed GOC signed an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office amidst chanting of ‘Pirith’ by the ‘Maha Sanga’. To mark the occasion the Commander posed for a group photograph with all officers and later, General Officer Commanding interacted with the Officers and other ranks during the All Ranks tea with the Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers Staff Officers and Other ranks of the 11 infantry Division
