MILITARY PERSONNEL ASSIST THE VICTIMS OF ADVERSE WEATHER

Prevailed adverse weather condition paralyzed the civil life in the Nuwara Eliya District located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central). Therefore, the relief operations were carried out by the Military personnel under command to 11Division of Security Forces (Central) on 26 and 27 August 2018.

Specially the residents of the Underbank village in the Nuwara Eliya District as well as the visitors faced a lot of difficulties due to descending of the road which leads to the village. For that reason, on the instructions of the Commander of the Army and the supervision of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG, the road was reconstructed by 04 officers and 26 soldiers under command to 11 Division.
