A National programme was organized under the patronage of HE the president, intending to build up drug free country. This timely programme was initiated on 11 July 2018 from 0930 hours to 1230 hours at Getambe ground, Kandy which is located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central) with the participation of the ministers, state workers, school children and civilians. Representing the SL Army, General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Major General T J Nanayakkara RWP RSP USP ndu along with officers and other ranks participated in the programme.
In addition the lunch prepared at the training school of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) at Gannoruwa was served for more than 9000 participants including the members of tri forces, police as well as civilians belonging to 20 Divisional Secretariats who gathered at the event.
