THE NATIONAL WAR HEROES COMMEMORATIVE DAY WAS CELEBRATED

The National War Heroes Commemorative Day was celebrated in remembrance of the fallen war heroes on 18 May 2018 in accordance with the directions of the Commander, Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias USP ndc psc IG, at the Headquarters premises with the participation of all officers and other ranks at Security Forces Headquarters (Central).

Brigadier K Premathileke RWP RSP, the Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces (Central) and the Commandant of Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) hoisted the Security Forces (Central) flag as well as VFTS flag and the National Anthem and the Army song were sung at the Headquarters premises and it was followed by two minute observance of silence in remembering of fallen War Heroes. The Messages from the Commander of the Army and the Commander of the Security Forces (Central) were read by the Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces (Central).

Further, an all rank lunch as well as a Dhamma sermon were also held at the headquarters premises with the participation of the Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces (Central).
