NEW CENTRAL COMMANDER VISITS HIS AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Central Commander, Major General Mohan Rathnayake, undertook several familiarization visits to under command Units and Brigades with the aim of receiving updates on their operational commitments during 8 - 9 December.

The Commander visited the Laxapana Hydro Power Station and 19 Sri Lanka National Guard (19 SLNG) camp on the first day and afterwards visited the Pidurutalagala Transmission Centre and 3 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (3 (V) SLSR) camp at Nuwara Eliya.

On the arrival Major W.G.T.W.A.M.R.P.S Boyagoda, Commanding Officer 3 (V) SLSR and Major A.A.E.P Bandarawatte, Commanding Officer, 19 SLNG warmly welcomed the Commander respectively at each unit and honoured him in formal Guard Turnouts, Planting of saplings, Troop address and an all rank lunch.

Brigadier Rohitha Rathnayake, Commander, 111 Brigade, Brigadier Sumidu Dayawansa, Commander, 112 Infantry Brigade, Officers, and Other Ranks were present at the events.
