Major General RMM Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP of Special Forces Regiment assumed the office as General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division on 18 July 2023.
The formal ceremony was held at the division headquarters based in Kandy. The new General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by the Senior Officers, and troops accorded a guard turnout and a guard of honour at the headquarters premises. Tree planting and religious observances were made at assuming duties. The senior officer addressed his under command troops and interacted with them at the all ranks tea party.
Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers and Troops witnessed the ceremony.
