The 27th death anniversary of the fallen war hero, Corporal Hasalaka Gamini Kularathne of 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) was held at Gamini Kularathne Monument in Hasalake on 16 July 2018 at 1000 hours in remembrance of his dedicated service rendered for the motherland. He was also posthumously awarded the decoration the Parama Weera Vibhushana (PWV) medal
Further, this Commemorative function was initiated by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General N U M M W Senanayake RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC and on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG, senior officers, officers and non commissioned officers at 11 Division of Security Forces (Central) also participated in this event.
