In concurrence with the 74th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Army, troops of Security Force Headquarters (Central) organized a series of events to celebrate the special occasion at Diyatalawa on 10 October 2023.
After the flag hoisting and army anthem, all Officers and Other Ranks listened to the message from the Commander of the Army on the significant milestone of the organization. Later the staff at the headquarters joined to plant 500 local tree saplings the north part of Fox Hill area and premises of 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, in order to replace the ground area that earlier vegetated with pine trees. The tree planting project was guided by Commander Security Force (Central) Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc.
Brigadier Admin & Quartering headed the all ranks lunch at the end of the anniversary celebrations.
