The annual competition which held from 06 November to 16 November 2023 has selected the most dynamic and skilful firing team and individuals out of all the participants from every regiment this year. Commander Security Force Central and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army General Services Corps, Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc graced the first phase of the awarding ceremony organized at the Marksmanship and Sniper Training School - Diyatalawa (MSTS) on 20 November 2023, and awarded certificates and prizes to the outstanding competitors and teams.
Honourable President of Army Small Arms Association (ASAA), Commandant MSTS, Senior Officers representing every regiment, officers and troops witnessed the witnessed the awarding ceremony.
The Chief Guest of the occasion addressed all the participants and appreciated their sportsmanship and excellent discipline showcased throughout the mega competition. He highlighted the urge for army members to take part in international combat firing competitions in the future. Finally, the security force commander adviced the troops to handle their weapons and arms with extreme discipline and respect.
