In concurrence with 75th National Independence Day, a formal program was organized at the premises of Security Force Headquarters (Central) on Saturday, 04 February 2023.
The program commenced with flag hoisting by Commander Security Force (Central) Major General Mohan Rathnayaka RWP RSP USP ndu, and the national anthem was played. A two-minute silence was observed in honour of all fallen war heroes who made the supreme sacrifice to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the motherland. After the parade, troops witnessed the live telecast of the National Independence Day ceremony.
