A sudden fire occurred inWadinahelayaya Kanda in Wellawaya Divisional Secretariat on 25 August 2018. The mentioned area is located within the responsible area of 12 Division of Security Forces (Central) and the troops controlled the fire on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG.
A team consisting of 2 officers and 14 soldiers from 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment rushed to the place and took prompt actions to douse the wild fire completely under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the Unit.
