A sudden fire occurred in Degalaramba, Kumbukkana in the Monaragala District on 07 July 2018. The mentioned area is located within the responsible area of 121 Brigade of Security Forces (Central) and the troops controlled the fire on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG.
A team consisting of one officer and twenty five soldiers from 18 Battalion the Gemunu Watch rushed to the place and took prompt actions to douse the wild fire completely
