A sudden fire occurred in Waulpathana Mountain in Badulla District on 07 January 2019. The mentioned area is located within the responsible area of Security Forces (Central) and the troops of 121 Brigade controlled the fire on the directions of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General WRP De Silva USP ndu IG.
A team consisting of one officer and thirty soldiers of 9 SLSR have rushed to the place and took the prompt actions to douse the wild fire completely. The reason for the fire has not been revealed yet.
