TROOPS OF 3 SLSR CONTRIBUTED FOR A SHRAMADANA CAMPAIGN IN NUWARAELIYA

The troops of 3(V)Sri Lanka Singha Regiment under command to Security Forces (Central) provided assistance to clean the surrounding of Gregory Lake which became unclean during the annual festive season of Wasantha Senakeliya. According to the request made by the Mayor of Nuwara Eliya, Mr P B Chandana Lal Karunarathne and the instructions of Major General G R H Dias USP ndc psc IG the Commander Security Forces (Central), the Commanding Officer and 50 soldiers of 3(V)SLSR carried out the task on 08 April 2018.

Further, more than 300 persons representing Sri Lanka Navy, Police, Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council and the civilians of the area also contributed for this shramadana campaign
