Troops based in Lunugamwehera, under 12 Infantry Division, rushed to Beralihela Weeravila Kanda area to douse a wildfire occurred in the evening, on 27 July 2023. The troops belong to 122 Infantry Brigade, made initiatives to control the wildfire that destroyed acres of flora.
The tireless effort of army firefighters to control the wildfire was guided by the Commander Security Force (Central), Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc.
