TROOPS REMOVED THE BRANCHES FELL ON HOUSES

The branches of a huge Banyan tree fell and caused severe damages to several houses, near the Kovil at the Nuge Junction in Wattegama in the Badulla District on 18 July 2018. Troops under command to 112 Brigade of Security Forces (Central), reported to the place on the direction of the Brigade Commander of 112 Brigade, Brigadier M W A A Wijesuriya RWP RSP USP. Accordingly, 10 soldiers at 112 Brigade removed the fallen branches and debris intending to assist the victims of the incident
