TROOPS TAKE MEASURES TO CONTROL WILD FIRE IN SF (CEN ) AOR

The wild fire occurred on 10 August 2018 in Sapugoda Kanda, Aanapallama in the Monaragala District was doused by the troops on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG. The affected area is located in the responsible area of 121 Brigade of Security Forces (Central).

A team consisting of twenty five soldiers from 18 Battalion the Gemunu Watch (GW) reached the place immediately to douse the wild fire under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of 18 GW.
