A delegation consisted with Capt Jeffrey Benton and Staff Sgt Sean Ireland representing United State Pacific Command visited SF HQ (Cen) with the approval of MOD and AHQ to meet Maj Gen G R H Dais USP ndc psc IG the Comd SF (Cen) on 30 Jan 18.Main Purpose of the visit to discuss the activities undertaken by the SF (Cen) on Disaster Management, CIMIC activities and Environment Conservation programmes and to see what are the possible areas available to the US Government to assist SF (Cen) in those areas .
The Comd SF (Cen) welcome the delegation at his office. The discussion preceded by Col C S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP psc IG - Col GS of SF HQ (Cen) at the ARTRAC conference hall. For this, event six (06) Grade 2 and Grade 3 level Staff Officers representing SFHQ (Cen), 11 Div and 12 Div participated. At the end of the discussion, US delegation appreciated the commitment by the SF (Cen) with reference to Disaster Management, CIMIC activities and Environment Conservation programmes and they clearly stated that they are indeed impressed. Lunch with the Comd SF (Cen) concluded the programme having final discussion promising that they will take up the points at their conferences.
