GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING - 12 INFANTRY DIVISION VISITS TO 122 INFANTRY BRIGADE HEADQUARTERS

Major General WSN Hemarathna RWP RSP psc, the outgoing General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, made an official visit to the 122 Infantry Brigade Headquarters on 02 June 2025 in accordance with the military traditions, prior to his retirement.

The visit commenced with a ceremonial guard turnout presented by troops of the 12 Gajaba Regiment under command to the 122 Infantry Brigade. The planting of a “Sandalwood Sapling” by the GOC marked the significance of the occasion.

Following the initial proceedings, the GOC addressed all troops under 122 Infantry Brigade. After the troop address Colonel BDTD Jayarathna psc the Commander 122 Infantry Brigade along with the respective Commanding Officers of the 12 Gajaba Regiment and the 3 Sri Lanka National Guard, presented a memento to Major General WSN Hemarathna RWP RSP psc in honoring of his dedicated service to 12 Infantry Division.

The event was concluded after the ‘all ranks tea party’ with the outgoing GOC, all officers and other ranks who were presented.
