Initially, 14 Bde was estb at Paper Mill Camp Valaichchenai on 01st May 1995 and terminated its’ functions wef 10th October 1996 and again renamed as 01 Bde.
Subsequently on 23rd July 1997, 01 Bde was renamed as 232 Bde. HQ 232 Bde shifted to Kalkudah on 10th May 2004. Further, Bde relocated at Sittandy on 26th December 2004 after the Tsunami disaster.
With the end of Humanitarian Op in East, HQ 232 Bde shifted to Iluppadichenai. On 08th September 2007 HQ 232 Bde relocated at Taravikulam.
