On parallel with the Christmas day, a Christmas Gifts Distribution Program was conducted for 45 children, who are living in two Orphanages in the “St. Francis of Assisi Church” at Kurukkalmadam on 27 December 2022.
For the Christmas Celebration, with the initiation and guidance of Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, under the patronage and coordination of Commanding Officer with troops 11th (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. For this program, 45 School items packs worth of Rs 2500/=, each were distributed among the 45 children.
Furthermore, Commander of the 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier, Dilupa Bandara Grace the Occasion as a chief guest, Civil Affairs Officer of the 231 Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Dammika Weerasinghe, Commanding Officer of the 11th (volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Major Nimal Pathmasiri, Officers and Other Ranks, Christian devotees also participated to the event.
