22 INFANTRY DIVISION CORNERSTONE LAID ANOTHER THREE MORE NEW HOUSES FOR NEEDED FAMILIES IN 22 DIVISION AOR

The foundation stone was laid to construct three more new houses for needy families living in 221, 222, and 223 Infantry Brigades AORs, 28 and 29 January 2024 held with a simple ceremony, adhering to religious formalities.

Project meritorious intention of enhancing the cooperation and reputation between civil society and the Security Forces serving in the area by the Commander - SFHQ (E). The direction and coordination of the General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division Major General P A M Peiris RSP USP psc has initiated financial support for all three houses.

Under 221 Infantry Brigade 2(V) Gajaba Regiment constructing a house for Mrs. Yashodara Lakmali Perera’s, needy family who is the residence at the No. 81/1, Gamini Dissanayake Road, Mahamayapura, Trincomalee, the cornerstone laid on 28 Jan 24. Financial sponsored by Mr.Rohan Gunasekara.

Under 222 Infantry Brigade 9th Battalion Vijayabahu Regiment constructing a house for Mrs. Mallika Chandralatha’s, needy family who is the residence at the LB/07, Dehiwatta, Neelapola cornerstone was laid on 29 Jan 24. Financial sponsored by Mr. Chinthika Abeyrathne.

Under 223 Infantry Brigade 15th Sri Lanka Light Infantry constructed a house for Mr. HAAC Dinesh Kumara’s needy family who is the residence at the Tissapura, Mollipothana, and the cornerstone was laid on 29 Jan 24. Financial sponsored by Popular Singer Mr. Bhathiya Jayakodi.

The Estimated cost per house is Rs: 1.35 million and is expected to be completed within 03 months.
