22 INFANTRY DIVISION INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

On the celebration of the 76th Independence Day, The General Officer Commanding the 22 Infantry Division Major General PAM Peiris RSP USP psc declared open a lecture hall, TV viewing room, and Restroom at the headquarters of the 22 Infantry Division, which is very essential for the troops.

Further, 22 infantry Division and under command troops organized 76 Independence Day ceremony with the participation of Damma School students at the Seruvila Mangala Rajamaha Viharaya. After the programme organized lunch for 265 students with the finances sponsored by Mr. Vijitha Wijesekara and Mrs. Indu Mudalige. This programme was initiated under the supervision and coordination of the General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division Major General P A M Peiris RSP USP psc, under the guidance of Commander 222 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier H K S Thilakarathne. The event was organized by the Commanding officer and the troops of the 9th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.
