22 INFANTRY DIVISION ORGANIZED A MEDICAL CLINIC WITH COLLABORATION OF LIONS CLUB TRINCOMALEE

22 Infantry Division and its under-command troops of the Security Force Headquarters – East organized a Medical Clinic for the benefit of deserving civilians, with the collaboration of Lions Club in Trincomalee on 13 January 2024 at Headquarters - 22 Infantry Division. It was consisted with an eye clinic, measuring of BMI, blood glucose test and blood donation programme.

A total of 341 civilians of all ethnicity received consultations during the clinic. Out of that, 291 individuals underwent eye screening, while 200 received spectacles.50 participants donate their blood at the blood donation campaign. The Chairman of Lions Club - Trincomalee Mr. Ranjan Janaranjana along with his members steer the campaign with the medical consultation of Dr. Dissanayake, Dr. Cynthia and Dr. Safana of district General Hospital - Trincomalee.

Under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Major General PAM Peiris RSP USP psc and with fully patronage of Brigade Commander, 221 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officer, 2 (V) Battalion the Gajaba Regiment and under command troops, event was conducted successfully where meets the army standards. All the benefiters from the event express their gratitude and good will towards security forces to continue such events on future as well.
