233 BRIGADE FACILITY COMPLEX OPEN BY THE HAND OF EAST COMMANDER

Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces (East) attended the inaugural of the new Facility Complex at 233 Infantry Brigade on Sunday (February 26). Much needed modern Facility Complex was constructed to fulfill a long-term need of the 233 Infantry Brigade and the civil community of the area, under the close supervision of Brigadier Wasantha Hewage, Commander, 233 Infantry Brigade with the valuable hard work of troops under command Battalions. The facility complex has consisted of a Mini food mart, a Cafeteria, and Saloon.

The Facility Complex was declared open for Army and civil personnel by the hand of Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi with the invitation of Major General Shewanth Kulatunge, General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division and Brigadier Wasantha Hewage, Commander, 233 Infantry Brigade. Commanding Officers of 9 Sri Lanka Artillery, 6 Gajaba Regiment, and 3 (V) Corps of Agriculture and Livestock with the local community from the Vakarei area were presented for the opening ceremony.
