242 BRIGADECELEBRATED SINHALA AND HINDU NEW YEAR FESTIVAL IN A GRAND SCALE
242 Brigade under24 Division locatedin Panama under Security Forces (East) area, celebrated Sinhala and Hindu New Year Festival in a grand scale at Komari play ground in Pothuvil on 18th April 2014 with the participation of GOC 24 Division Brig HKP PierisUSP, several military and civil dignitaries .The incumbent of MuhuduMahaVihara with other monks and about 1000 civilians were participated for the occasion. At the festival 18 sports events including traditional games were held and the prizes for winners were given by the Officers and ORs of 242 Div. and other donors. All the participants were provided lunch by 242 Brigade and dry ration for lunch was given by donors.
