A fully renovated house was vested to children of late Corporal T Jagath Kusum (Retired) of Gemunu Watch in brief ceremony at Galmaduwa in Ampara on 19 Oct 2023, under the patronage of General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division, Major General Wipula Chandrasiri RSP USP psc.
Renovation work has done under the guidance and instruction of General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division, Major General Wipula Chandrasiri RSP USP psc and Brigade Commander, 241 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier LSDN Pathirathna RSP USP with the coordinating of the Civil Affairs Officer, 24 Infantry Division, Colonel HS Jayarathna. Construction expertise and labor support were provided by 8 Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard under the close supervision of Commanding Officer, Major EDSK Deniyaya.
Senior Officers, Officers, troops of 8 SLNG, relatives of the late non-commission officer and residents of the area were took part for the occasion.
