According to a humble request received by the Commander, Security Forces – East, Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG from 74 years old Mrs. A. Magalin Perera who lives with her elderly husband at No. 230 Monarathenna, Welikanda, troops of 9 SLA with the technical support of a CES were guided to construct the kitchen roof and renovate the house roof where this elderly couple lived. The construction and the renovation were completed on 27 October 2023 under the guidance and supervision of Major General KVNP Premaratne RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division and Colonel AKCS De Silva, the Commander, 233 Infantry Brigade
