ASSUMING DUTIES AS COMMANDER 222 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Colonel RKARP Ratnayake RSP USP psc, assumed duties as the new Commander of 222 Infantry Brigade on 06 November 2023 at the 222 Infantry Brigade Headquarters, Jayanthigama, Kanthale.

In accordance with military traditions, Colonel RKARP Ratnayake RSP USP psc reviewed the Guard Turnout on arrival and he was welcomed by the Officers of the 222 Infantry Brigade.

The newly appointed Brigade Commander placed his signature for a formal document to signify the acceptance of the office and planting of a sapling was taken place to mark the occasion. The Officers and Other Ranks of the Brigade staff were attended to the ceremony.
