BASIC OUTBOARD MOTOR BOAT TRAINING CONDUCTED BY 22 INFANTRY DIVISION HEADQUARTERS

With the concept of General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, basic outboard motor boat training was conducted for 00 x 30 other ranks of under command battalion’s Search & Rescue operation teams from 23rd October 2023 to 31st October 2023 with the support of 7 field Engineer Regiment. The soldiers were educated on theoretical and practical aspects of operating the boats, identifying the parts, how to rectify the faults and how to operate the boat in any conditions and specially in flood situation. Pte Pushpa kumara RMS of 15 SLLI has got 1st place out of 30 students of the basic outboard motor training course No 1 conducted at the 22 infantry Division Headquarters. The certificate awarding ceremony was held on 01st November 2023 with the presence of General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Deputy General Officer Commanding Brigadier KKS Parakum RWP RSP and all other officers and other ranks
