BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN ORGANIZED BY 4TH BATTALION THE GEMUNU WATCH

In conjunction with the 76th Independence Day, under the guidance of Commander Security Force (East) Major General MKUP Gunarathne RSP ndu psc IG, with direction of General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division Major General KVNP Premarathne RSP USP psc and close supervision of Commander of 232 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier RPS Prasad RWP RSP USP and on the initiative of Commanding Officer Major SPIH Senanayakepsc Lsc a blood donation campaign organized by 4th Battalion the Gamunu Watch from on 08 February 2024 at the Unnachchiya Fishermen’s society hall.

03 Officers and 71 Other Ranks along with 06 civilians participated in donating their blood. This program was appreciated by all medical staff of the Batticaloa district blood transfusion unit, through this community support program carried out by the Army, the opportunity to save the lives of many helpless patients living in the Eastern province.
