According to the information received by 7 Military Intelligence Corps, intelligent troops of 7 and 3 MIC together with Aralaganvila Special Task Force officials, a person was apprehended with 182g of Kerala Cannabis at Aralaganvila on 10 February 2023. Thereafter suspected person with illegal drugs was handed over to the Aralaganvila police station for further investigations.
The Commander, Security Forces (East) together with the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, and the Brigade Commander, 234 Infantry Brigade with the Commanding Officer, 3 Military Intelligence Corps closely monitored the raid and instructed accordingly. With the apprehended of these illegal activities in respective areas, illegal activities will be stopped in the area and the general public’s confidence in the Military forces will be increased.
