According to the information received by 7 Military Intelligent Corps attached to 221 Infantry Brigade, Intelligent troops together with Pulmude Special Task Force officials; one person was apprehended with 250 g of Kerala Cannabis at Kumburupitiya on 13 February 2023. Thereafter suspected person with illegal drugs was handed over to the Kuchchaveli police station for further investigations.
The Commander, Security Forces (East) together with the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, and the Brigade Commander, 221 Infantry Brigade with the Commanding Officer, 7 Military Intelligence Corps closely monitored the raid and instructed accordingly. With the apprehended of these illegal activities in respective areas, illegal activities will be stopped in the area and the general public’s confidence in the Military forces will be increased.
