CAPTURE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS

According to the information received by 3 Military Intelligent Corps troops intelligent troops together with Kathiraweli STF officials; a person was apprehended with 2 Kg 460g of Kerala Cannabis and Rs.40000.00 at Kathiraweli on 29 May 2023. Thereafter suspected person with illegal drugs were handed over to the Vakarei police station for further investigations.

The Commander, Security Forces (East) together with the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, and the Brigade Commander, 233 Infantry Brigade with the Commanding Officer, 3 Military Intelligence Corps closely monitored the raid and instructed accordingly. With the apprehended of these illegal activities in respective areas, illegal activities will be stopped in the area and the general public’s confidence in the Military forces will be increased.
