According to an information received by 7 Military Intelligence Corps troops, together with Kanthale Police officials, a person was apprehended with 1.110 g of Heroin at Mollipothana on 17 Dec 2023. Thereafter suspected person with illegal drugs were handed over to the Kanthale Police Station for further investigations.
The Commander, Security Forces (East) together with the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, and the Brigade Commander, 223 Infantry Brigade with the Commanding Officer, 7 Military Intelligence Corps closely monitored the raid and instructed accordingly. With the apprehended of accused, illegal activities will be curtailed in the area and the general public’s confidence in the military forces will be increased.
