CONDUCTING A FIELD VISIT TO AFFECTED AREAS IN THE BATTICALOA DISTRICT

The Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, together with senior officers, conducted an inspection visit to several areas in the Batticaloa District that were affected by adverse weather conditions. The purpose of the visit was to review the ongoing disaster relief operations and assess the current situation.

The officials first inspected the condition of the Unnachchiya Reservoir and then met with the Batticaloa District Secretary, Mr. J.S. Arulraj, at the Batticaloa District Secretariat to discuss the Army’s contribution to disaster management efforts in the district. Thereafter, the Commander, Security Forces (East), and senior officers inspected the 232 Brigade Headquarters area.

Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc commended all senior officers, officers, and other ranks for their dedication and tireless efforts in carrying out disaster relief operations in their respective areas despite the challenging weather conditions.
