Under the guidance of Security Forces Commander (East) Major General Prasanna Gunaratne and instructions of Commander 24 infantry division Major General Wipula Chandrasiri, launched a livelihood support programme to support needy farmers in Kokkadicholei area. this programme involves multiple approaches to address difficulties faced by farmers with the aim of uplifting their income level in Kokkadicholei area of Batticaloa on 2024.02.11 at B Coy of 11 (v) SLSR.
Dairy Cows were given to 06 families in the first step and 04 more families were selected for the second step. Worth of 6 hundred thousand dairy cows were provided by Mr. Vidura Ranasinghe and international Vipakshana Bawana centre at Colombo 07.
Commander 243 infbde, Brigadier Chandima Kumarasinghe,Commanding Officer of 11 (v) SLSR, senior officers and local residents participated for the event.
