EAST COMMANDER MEETS WITH THE EASTERN PROVINCE GOVERNOR

During his official field visit at 22 Infantry Division, the newly appointed Commander Security Forces - East, Major General Darshana Wijesekera meets with the Eastern Province Governor, Honorable. Senthil Thondaman on Thursday (June 16).

The meeting was held in the Eastern Province Governor's office at Trincomalee. The newly appointed Commander Security Forces - East was welcomed at the Governor's office by the Governor's Secretariat staff. During the meeting with the Eastern Province Governor and Commander Security Forces - East exchanged views and discussions also focused on area-related issues. Before his exit, both leaders agreed their understanding would continue, of the duties in the future.

Major General Mihidu Perera, General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Brigade Commander, 221 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Staff and Brigadier Admin & Quartering, Security Force Headquarters - East were also associated with the occasion.
