EAST COMMANDER TAKE BLESSING FROM THE "SERUNUWARA TEMPEL"

During the official field visit at 22 Infantry Division, the newly appointed Commander Security Forces - East, Major General Darshana Wijesekera visited to Serunuwara temple on Saturday (June 17).

Also,he Commander Security Forces-East participated to evening religious rites. Firstly he discussed about the religious programme on going in the temple and area with the "Nayaka tero" of the temple. Then the sound of "hevisi", and with the blessing of the people who are gathered to the evening "Poojava", he sacrifice the "Buddha Poojava" to the Serunuvara "Stupa" Afterward all are attended to the religious rites in front of the Serunuwara temple "Stupa" and end of the religious rites the Commander Security Forces - East took the blessing from Serunuwara temple "Stupa".

Major General Mihidu Perera, General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Brigade Commander, 222 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Staff and Brigadier Admin & Quartering, Security Force Headquarters - East and Commanding Officer, 24 Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment were also associated with the occasion.
